Rick Kane, Florida State Certified Contractor
Rick Kane is a Florida State Certified General Contractor with Kane Construction Management Inc (KCMI), a general contractor. Mr. Kane has over 30 years experience in the construction industry, including 11 years as a Project Executive or Project Manager on retail projects exceeding 3 million square feet, 8 years as a project manager on Airport, Hotel, Industrial, University and School Projects, and 8 years as a Superintendent on various commercial, school and government projects.
Mr. Kane’s experience also includes generating and analyzing construction budgets, completion schedules, cost to complete estimates, construction defects cost assessments, remedial work budgets, close out requirements, general conditions, bidding and contract documents. He has assisted owners in completing defaulted projects, including retail and government projects.
Mr. Kane has extensive experience with management of all phases of construction projects, from project estimating, scheduling and project management, through beneficial occupancy and close-out. He has directed the construction of projects valued in excess of 300 million dollars.
Mr. Kane is responsible for conducting forensic investigation and analysis of construction claims for large-scale commercial projects including construction cost and scheduling issues, delay claims, construction defects, remedial work and close-out requirements.
Mr. Kane currently holds a Florida State Certified General Contractors license, and Florida State Certified Underground Utilities license. He is also a board member of the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board and the State of Florida Home Owners Construction Industry Recovery Fund. In his position as Chairman of The Recovery Fund he has presided over 188 Damage Claims and made awards in excess of 4.8 Million Dollars.
